А week of the PCC "Philology"
On 07.11 – 11.11.2022, a week of the PCC "Philology" on the topic "Learning through national values-the basis of education and upbringing" was held at the Zhambyl Humanitarian Higher College named after Abai.
The purpose of the Week is to identify current problems of teaching language and literature and create an effective educational environment.
On November 08, 2022, in honor of the 150th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Kazakh poet, scholar of literature and language, Turkologist, publicist, teacher, translator, public figure Akhmet Baitursynov, the regional scientific hour "Akhmet–the beacon of spirituality of the nation" was opened.
The purpose of the event is to promote the life and works of Akhmet Baitursynov, who fought for the independence and sovereignty of the country, popularize the political and social views of the poet of his time, and educate the nationalist generation.
The event, which opened with a compositional performance staged by students of the specialty "Acting Art", was attended by guests from regional and city institutions:
Head of the Department of the Center for Spirituality and Historiography. Sherkhana Murtaza, historian A. Dulati, editor-in-chief of the Zhambyl regional newspaper "Aq jol", Chairman of the Zhambyl regional branch of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan H. E. Esamanov, PhD in Philology A. B. Beknazarov, teachers of Kazakh language and literature A. Zh. Omarova, A.M. Duysenbayeva. They told instructive stories about the life of A. Baitursynov, his works for the Kazakh people, shared the facts studied, answered students' questions.
The participants were awarded with letters of thanks and memorable gifts.
