On December 24, Zhambyl Humanities high college named after Abai held an inspiring opening ceremony for a special theme week: "Craftsmanship – the legacy of ancestors, the treasure of generations."
Organized by "Decorative and Applied Arts" department, the event brought together teachers and students to celebrate our rich cultural roots.
The program was filled with engaging activities that blended education with creativity:
A special challenge was held where participants completed traditional proverbs about craftsmanship. This allowed everyone to explore the deep cultural meanings and wisdom embedded in our folk heritage.
The "Cheerful Mood Palette" Competition: A dynamic art contest took place between faculty and students. Participants had to create drawings within a short timeframe, followed by a presentation where they explained the creative inspiration behind their work.
The event served as a powerful reminder that craftsmanship is the soul of our nation. By hosting these activities, the college emphasized that while it is our duty to preserve the treasures of the past, it is also our responsibility to develop them for the future.
